Re: Pat Roach Grave

Thanks for that. Righto, I shall probably go next week, got a few hours owing, and it's not far. Sounds a bit childish, but I'd like to leave some flowers and a message, and if anyone of his family do see or read it, they will know I meant well. Will sign it from me and all the folks on here. It's ...

Re: Auf Pet actors in other TV shows.

Double Pet action from this day in 1985. I've never heard of this programme, though:

Re: Auf Pet actors in other TV shows.

I stumbled across a double on YouTube. This clip came up on my recommended videos, featuring our Dagmar and Tim (the lady's husband).

Re: Ya nar Oz

Pat Roach had a book called "If". I've never read it. There was also a book published after he died called "Auf Wiedersehen Pat".

Re: Still Game

Presumably the upcoming stage show isn't set after the last episode, or it'll be a very short show.

Re: Fictional Dates

This can be wrapped up now. In the final episode of S1, Wayne tells Barry that they’ve been here for 6 months. Kevin Keegan signed for Newcastle according to the media on July 1st 1982, making his debut at the end of August when the season commenced. Let’s give it a few days for the papers to arriv...

Bomber's daughter asks Wayne if he likes Kim Wilde, and she didn't have her first hit until 1981.
Did that not fit the time line loike ?
Not if it's set in 1979-80, as the press pack said.

Re: Still Game

The last ever episode is on this week. Thursday, I think. Followed by a retrospective documentary called That's Plenty.

I can't say the final series has been a classic. It's been very predictable and repetitive, in my opinion.

Re: Dennis owing money to Ally Fraser

Now I'm thinking about it, I'm surprised someone as sensible as Dennis allowed himself to get into that much bother with someone as crooked as Ally. Mind you, like he said, he was throwing cash around after he got back from Germany. Maybe borrowing from Ally seemed like the only way out of it.

Re: Dagmar asks out Dennis

Maybe it's the same as what Wyman's mam saw in him. The fact he's a straight up, sensible man. Not like the other six lunatics in the hut.
