An update on my position. I really am now enjoying where I am in Turkey to the point where I now can't drink a pint of English ale instead of their own brand of beer. Plus, the country has so many sights and pleasures to offer. Guess I didn't look hard enough before...

Like Magowan, I first watched series 2 on Sunday nights in the autumn/winter of 2002, although I'm sure it was on the Men and Motors channel, not UK Gold. I was going to watch it when it was repeated on Channel 4 in the mid-1990s, but I didn't bother for some reason. I didn't see it in its original...
