Re: Series 2 Weird parts

I did notice in one early Series 2 ep where they are discussing Barry and Hazel splitting up, and Wayne says "pro tem, pro tem". This is a reference to Dennis in S1E1 reassuring the other two geordies they would be in the hut "pro tem". I imagine the actors thought this was not realistic of how bric...

Re: Fictional Dates

Some footy related clues to the Series 1 timeline, whether intentional or otherwise: 1) the Sunderland Liege friendly match would've been before the season began, so July/August 2) Oz says he rang his missus to get the FA Cup draw - since Newcastle were in Div 2 at the time they would (i think) have...

Moxey's little dance

I can't be the only one to spot this - in The Fugitive when they corner Colin in the storage hut, Moxey, standing on a pile of dirt, shouts "It's OK lads, we've gorr im!" then pulls some crazy move just before the scene cuts. What's all that about?

Re: Favourite episode

Last Rites. Oz's finest hour, at least in Series 1.

Barry's photograph of the lads

Barry is supposed to have had "mein Herr" take the picture of the lads on their last day of work. But if the hut burned down that night, how did the film survive? Did he take it to Jessop's that same day?

Wayne's conquests

How would you rank the women Wayne pulled? [OK, so Ingrid gave him the spanish archer and the cowgirl at Harry's boozer cut him short, but I'm including them anyway.] Here's my list: 1. Ingrid 2. Carol Pringle 3. Cowgirl at Harry's 4. Crista 5. Heidi I wonder where the girl at the post office would ...

Re: Series 3 Windy Mesa Pics

A couple more pics. The pool table off to the right is the one Oz plays Wyman for a bottle of beer. And sorry Oz, there may be stetsons and sawdust and beer, but there's no burgers - the WM doesn't serve food. You'll have to go into Chesterfield. I wanted to find the location where the lads are sitt...

Re: Favourite Series..

It's between Series 1 & 2. It's hard to choose an overall favourite. For Series 1, every episode is great, although I think it relies on too many plot devices - series of coincidences - in many episodes (the very funny Private Lives being the biggest culprit). I think the dialogue and interaction be...

Series 3 Windy Mesa Pics

Here are some pictures I took last year of inside the Windy Mesa in Page, Arizona from Series 3. Very little has changed in over ten years since they filmed here. I took a few more from different angles. Note that the door the lads enter from the outside is not where we see them come from on the ins...
