Last time I watched it Tosh and Burnside were in it. And I think a tasty blonde pc called Polly. Whenever that was.

Re: Another Country (series 3) Meets The Truman Show
I thought Gordon Tootoosis was a candidate for worst ever AWP supporting role. A good actor by all accounts, he never really seemed to get into the Joe part. It seemed a weary and flat performance throughout, like he was just saying the lines and collecting the pay cheque.

Re: Another Country (series 3) Meets The Truman Show
Well spotted Si. Also reminiscent of Westworld where the robots get activated every morning. I thought the dialogue between the DEA agents was a bit corny. A line like "Take them straight to the federal facility in Flagstaff" sounds more wordy than necessary. And the attorney who visits the lads in ...

Awesome theme tune. Stewart Copeland was in Sting's shadow as a songwriter in the Police, but he found his own niche with this stuff.

Glynis Barber was also in "Jane" around the same time. All I remember is her clothes kept falling off revealing her lingerie underneath. For a 14 year old at the time, it was just too much to take

Re: How often do you watch Auf Pet?
Here's my take on why the show went downhill with the Spanish eps: 1) There was no sense of hardship once they got to Spain. They started out dossing down at Barry's, then at the Barley Mow they were unwelcome guests, then they slummed it at the manor, then kipped at each others houses in Newcastle....

Re: DVD disappointment
And they didn't seem to remember much about the making of the programme, but to be fair, as the writers they probably wouldn't have been too heavily involved in the filming. True, but they could have talked at length about how they developed the characters and the storylines. And I believe they had...

Was it the Fine Young Cannibals song or "Living on an Island" song rights that caused the nightclub scene to be cut from the VHS release?

How about: Nev: I'm going over to Sir James's to help him on his barn. You lads interested? Oz: Haddaway and bollocks. Money might be your god Neville, but it's not mine. Nev: I really think you should give us a hand, Oz. Oz: How's that like?!!! Nev: Because Sir James says, until you pay him back fo...

Re: Fictional Dates
Maybe whoever said "6 months" could really have meant 7 or 8 months. In which case Barry referring to the lads being there in January does fit. Now, why Sunderland were playing a friendly match part way through the season, God only knows. What is more unforgivable is that two paid-up members of the ...

Re: Chicken Ranch, Arizona.
It's not the only time a place is misrepresented in Series 3. The Windy Mesa bar doesn't serve burgers, half the punters are Navajo who work at the local power plant, and you're more likely to hear U2 blaring from the jukebox than Dolly Parton (no danger of Agadoo though, I checked. Definitely would...

I just made plasterer :) Now, can someone tell me how do I apply the plaster evenly over the whole wall? It's got bumps in it. Am I supposed to use a spirit level to check it? I'm bloody hopeless, man :? Is there any way I can delete posts and go back to being a sparky? At least I know how to wire a...
