Re: Greetings From Scotland....

RuggedScot, you'll find a more respectful - but still amusing, entertaining and informative - atmosphere here, unlike on the old yahoo forum. No behaving like bairns here, and no pinching crayons. At least so far... :D

Re: Chicken Ranch, Arizona.

That S3E5 scene where they first see the chicken ranch has a mistake. They cross the state line and immediately see the chicken ranch. The only way to enter NV from AZ is through Clark County. Prostitution, and therefore chicken ranches, is illegal in Clark County, NV.

Re: Greetings From Scotland....

Careful Tracy, don't piss off our new member with your ignorance of his beautiful country - Berwick is in England. Perhaps "I don't want to read about Aberdeen or Dundee yer pillock!" would be a more appropriate welcome.

Re: Fictional Dates

It is not possible to put together a definitive timeline for Series 1 since there are too many inconsistencies. The best we can do is evaluate the reliability of every piece of evidence: FACT: Keegan signed in August. So assuming Oz isn't looking at an old newspaper we can indisputably place him in ...

Re: Bad acting? What bad acting?

Aye, the bird Wayne tries to pull, who is a big actress now, starring in Notting Hill to name just one film, and more recently 'Hebburn' Gina Mckee. This must have been one of her first acting jobs, and she has improved 100% now. Still makes me cringe though when she says....'I've gotta listen to t...

Re: Bad acting? What bad acting?

I think they filmed the first part of the snooker scene on a Thursday then he was found on the Friday and they finished the scene on the following Monday I think. You can see he disappears from the scene after Dennis walks in with the plane tickets. The whole scene was so downbeat but the second par...

Re: ...And Four Years Later They Give You a Degree. Great.

I'm a 34 year old forklift driver / logistics manager (I always say the latter to impress  ). Anyways, come Monday I start my Open University course. I'm starting with 'Introducing Environment' and hoping to move onto a science degree. I'm nervous as hell and been thinking about Mox and Oz in ...

Re: Bad acting? What bad acting?

Probably doesn't belong on this thread, but we have to mention the decline in Gary Holton's acting towards the end. In 'A Law for the Rich' (at about 20:50) in the scene where Dennis says "do you know something I don't", look at Gary's face throughout. He's supposed to be playing it all innocent but...

I don't think she could play it straight, let alone do sarcasm.

Re: Bad acting? What bad acting?

I think casting Mr. Galloway as a hardnose Scot was a nod to their previous creation Mr. McKay - now there was a performance for you.

Bomber's daughter Tracy was probably the low point for me. "My dad's never arooouuuund!" and "I'm only 16 remember, a coke will be fine!". Make me shudder everytime.

Bad acting? What bad acting?

I've read various posts from AWP fans (not on this site) complaining of bad acting among the supporting cast. The consensus seems to be that Howard Radcliffe was the worst culprit. I don't see it myself - he's an architect, not a song and dance man. What is supposed to be the problem? Wooden express...

Re: Helmut Fischer

It still weirds me out a bit seeing how the cast looks now (or recently anyway, Helmut RIP). Watching the show so often has frozen everyone in time for me.

I like to think that picture is of him finally accepting a drink off of Bomber.
