Watched the last 20 minutes of part 2, still think it was a set up like most top gear.
BBC let Clarkson get away with anything as its the biggest export around the world.

I watched both. It wasn't brilliant. The Reg plate thing was out of order & plain provocative, however, the way the Argentinians reacted & treated the crew was absolutely appalling.
Thankfully that would never happen in Great Britain. We've got far more decorum.
I'm not sure why they get so hot under the collar. It was THEM who invaded OUR territory.

I watched both parts... Part 1 was just typical Top Gear venturing out for a road trip, and was ok.. Part 2 seemed ok, but i couldnt believe they were travelling all that way just to try and have another game of car football... as for the interference from Falklands people, well they were out of order... i believe the number plate thing was just plain fluke, and like said by james may in the show, it didnt bother anybody over there until people found out they were filming and where they planned to finish the trip... The so called locals there who decided to pound filming cars with stones were just total pricks! Its not as if the war over there was in recent years either.. which leads me to think they just used it as an excuse to get nasty..

Yes, I enjoyed it apart from those idiots at the end. Disgusting behaviour.

Loved it.
There a nice interview with Cpt Slow on Absolute about how they would never do anything to the memory of those killed in The Falklands.

Watch it:

I think what JM says was true, they just bought cars and it was a bad coincidence, you then see Radio shows and the like like this, trying to make something bigger of it.. i say just forget it all.. bad luck, thankfully everyone got back to the uk in one piece, move on..

The number plate ? was planned all along.....

Found out on other forums that the porker had been bought and stored after the plate was seen. The Argentinian connection was exploited but it got a little too hairy.....

The top gear style is known and this is wayyyy too much of a fluke to be accidental.

Typical Brits abroad eh? First time out of the UK, they're like a fish out of water without their wifes, or their muthas. Within a couple of week they've got pissed, lost their money or their passport; upset the Argentinians - I've seen it all before man.

Think we will need to call the embassy - one woke up with a tattoo H982 FKL I believe and it is causing a stir with the locals....
