Drinks - What's Yours?

Post by Auf Wiedersehen, Pet » Wed Sep 30, 2015 7:49 pm

Strangely in all the time we've had this forum online, I divint reckon we've had a topic about drinks, or booze.

I'll get the ball rolling. It's not about what you like to hurl down your neck, but more about what you'd recommend.

If you're a beer drinker and you haven't tried 'Doom Bar', which I'm sure many have, give it a whirl. A superb taste.

Tonight I've just got a bottle of Gaymers Pear and Raspberry cider. I'm not a massive cider drinker, it's too gassy but the flavour is cracking.

So, what you recommend?
I'll go out of my way to get hold of anything you reckon is worth a bash.

I like beer cider and red wine.
Voddy and tonic with ice and lime
Dissorano or baileys, bloody marys for hangovers, and my latest try is mojitos which are ace but get you pissed.
Stowford press cider is nice but makes you shit yourself so gan canny!
Oh and the best champagne is Mumm from France! That do yer!

My godmother introduced me to Desperados the other day. Bottled lager with tequila. Ice cold. Exquisite :)

Strongbow with a double shot of Crabbies ginger wine (not ginger beer)
Power shandy - Half a Stella and a Smirnoff ice
Wine kits are really good these days, especially Rose types, I use cellar 7 which works out at just over £1 a bottle and is ready to drink within 2 weeks -fantastic cold
