Finest Performance Episode One
Might be a tough one, but who do you think put on the best performance in episode 1?

Re: Finest Performance Episode One
Dennis, the way he was with the Vera situation. Especially the boating lake scene.

Wayne - Gary was at ease with that role from the off.

Re: Finest Performance Episode One
I'm with Lou, I thought Tim H put in a good acting performance in E1. He was a good father figure to Neville and played those scenes really well. Telling him 'he hasn't come all this way to read Oz's overdue library books' scene is short but well acted imo.....

Re: Finest Performance Episode One
Herr Grunwald. "It is not good I think that you arrive so late." "Why ?!" "First serve, first come." "Put your things in your hut."

I think they all did a damn good job... Wayne being a favourite character of mine pushes it to nominate him to the top followed by Oz in second...

Re: Finest Performance Episode One
All brilliant, but my favourite lines have to come from Oz.
Oz: Pelicans, penguins and the Inland Revenue have all got one thing in common.
Dennis: What's that?
Oz: They can all shove their bills up their arse.

Interesting how Dennis and Oz appeared the greatest of pals right at the start , on the ferry and in the car when , in reality , it emerged that Dennis was completely exasperated by him.
