Pat Roach Grave
I've thought about it many times and always found an excuse not to, like work, and such like, but I really feel like I would like to go and find Pat's grave, and perhaps leave a little tribute or something?
It really isn't that far from where I am, and I have more spare time than I used to.
Is this a good idea, or, (and I've no idea if his wife is still around) would his family find it offensive, in the sense of resting in peace?
He was a big (!) hero of mine, and I met him several times, as I've said in past posts.
Any thoughts??

Re: Pat Roach Grave
I live in Bromsgrove where he is buried in the old cemetery opposite st John's church. I've put flowers down a few times and nobody else seemed to have for a long time so I don't think anybody would mind. If you look at the fallen hero's thread on here there r some pics on page 6.

Re: Pat Roach Grave
Thanks. I'm only a few miles away in Solihull, I should have really some this years ago.
Is it easy to find?, I've done the Google maps thing, but, I'm quite old and stupid and I'm still not sure.
He was a huge hero to me as a teenager, and beyond, so sad he isn't here to enjoy his fans, and legendary status.
To be honest, I'm afraid of offending his wife, although, dare I say it, is she still with us?
Thanks Lou....

Re: Pat Roach Grave
Thanks for that.
Righto, I shall probably go next week, got a few hours owing, and it's not far.
Sounds a bit childish, but I'd like to leave some flowers and a message, and if anyone of his family do see or read it, they will know I meant well.
Will sign it from me and all the folks on here.

Reet.
Unless anything work wise gets in the way I'm planning me trip for next Friday.
Lou, if you could give me some directions, I'm fully conversant with Google maps. Well, I can press the button on me phone, and it brings some maps up, so that's a good start like, any help gratefully received. Like easiest place to park and whether to go right or left, that kinda thing, that would be top of the bill

Re: Pat Roach Grave
The cemetery is by asda in church close. There r big double gates and u can park outside. It's the little cemetery as there is a large one on the other side of the road. You should be ok go through the gates and walk down the little path to the end in the circle and pats grave is on the left about four in. It says IF at the top in big letters. Good luck and let me know how u get on!

Re: Pat Roach Grave
It's not childish at all. You're a fan of his, or at least the programme he was in, so it's perfectly alright to visit his grave and pay your respects.Pete M wrote: โFri Apr 26, 2019 4:29 pmThanks for that.

Hi all.
Am stood at Pat's graveside now.
Have put some flowers and a card.
Can't work out how to post a photo, but just put..
Pat....Respect and peace...from your many fans at the AWP fansite.
Quite emotional, even from an old bruiser like me.
