Video 19 - A Trip to Series 1 locations - Part 1
I return to show you more Auf Wiedersehen Pet Locations, and also to meet another Super-Fan too, Perry Gascoine, Perry had the enthusiasm just like i do with locations, and thankfully we had a bonus of him knowing mates who fished!! As this is what led us down to the places used.
So this time it is Series 1, in a place that has been unknown for years!! From the episode 'The Fugitive', we see the lads get away from the building site briefly and head out to a german village to fish, while there was much of the episode actually filmed on location in Germany, we do see some filmed in the UK, south of Peterborough, in a village called 'Offord Cluny'... In Offord there were ALL the fishing scenes with the lads done here, in four separate locations.. two of which are on one side
the main road, and two on the other side.. we see the main bridge the lads walk across, then the weir, where they talk about Colin, then we head over to the other side of the road and see where Colin was 'Kipping rough', and then we see the far end of the field which is suceptable to flooding quite alot, and this is where the lads are actually fishing.. (Which looked flooded at the time)... We will be back in future with more Series 1 locations too. But ENJOY this video... I hope!
I added an extra 10 minutes on this video to show how i reassured myself that Perry and me were in the right area for Colins Kipping rough scene... Just additional footage added because i had it.
Video below..

Thanks Tim. Mind, I'm pretty sure you have inspired more fans than I ever will to visit these locations. Guaranteed. The whole nine yards. I bet me bollocks on it.

You and Stephen... At least you got to see Thornely Manor before it was no longer accessible..

Re: Video 19 - A Trip to Series 1 locations - Part 1
Thanks Tim. Very kind of you. Yours are way better. My videos were only on aboot 10 minutes. Howd on! Yee did a better longer guided tour of Thornely Manor and went in more rooms. See? I'm right man. I'm always right man.

Are those original Thornley Manor vids of Mr Hill's no longer on YouTube? There was a number of them
(From others too) which seem to have been taken off. The very originals with Mrs Matthews giving the tour. They were great.

That's a good question.. last time i knew, i saw Richard had them on YouTube, but they were 'unlisted status'...
Not sure if they're still there...

Thanks Timmy. Pleased you enjoyed them. Much appreciated. Your full name is not Mr Timothy Wagstaff by the way is it? Who's trying to give me the confidence to share the vids again? Or just a coincidence?
