Got unwittingly aufed by a non Pet-watcher this morning. I told my colleague since I've handed in my notice I feel like Papillon serving out a jail term. This morning she texted me and started with "Morning Papillon!"

Indeed I have - and I said that to my boss when we were negotiating my leaving date. This show permeates my daily vocabulary I swear!

Walking through town today and the missus stepped on one of those loose paving slabs that tip like a see saw and nearly catch the other foot. She almost tripped over. In full black country twang I told her: "That's bloody dangerous that is!"

My 4-year-old has grown up around Auf Pet, but until yesterday I didn't think he was taking much notice. Then for lunch I gave him some bread in hot chocolate, one of his favourite snacks which he hadn't had for a while, and he stunned me by casually saying, "this is a rare treat for me dad"!
You've made your father very proud, I thought.
From now on I'm sticking to a worse type of bird.

Our bosses supplied cakes today to celebrate the start of a new franchise. One bloke brought a load of slices in, and started handing them round. One of the women turned hers down as she's on a diet, so of course I had to pipe up ""Ey, spiffing bit of cake that!"

I blew off in the kitchen the other day and said to my little lad " I wouldn't stand there if I were you!"

Now spring is upon us the leather jacket is out. Was in the kithen the other day about to head out and the missus was opening a new bottle of squeezy mayo and a bit of it spat onto the jacket. As I rushed to wipe it off I yelled "Howay man ya pillock!"

Got my lad weeding the garden this morning. He's got a real phobia of worms and slugs, snails etc. He pulls up a big weed and a great big fat worm slithered out of the mud. He jumped back and shouted "ergh! Its all horrible and wriggling!"
