Wayne and Oz for me.. Wayne due to the confidence with women and general nature of him, and Oz because he's not afraid to say what he thinks whether its a boss like Herr Ulrich in series 1 or a Toff in series 2!! DOUBLE BOLLOCKS!

yes i would agree with you Tim, Wayne cos he knows how to pull the birds!
But all 7 of them have a part to play, even Neville who i would say i like the least but the show wouldn't work without him.

The show was always perfect no matter what episode in the first two series.. All cast did good with their job and made the characters what they are now, which is why we are here doing this i suppose.. Later series 15 years later and beyond were watchable and funny like in the past but Wayne's presence is sorely missed big time.. Even with putting Wyman with them, he just wasnt too big a chip off the old block! But im guessing they had some respect for Gary/Wayne and left Wyman how he was for that reason.. After all Gary can never be replaced in any way.

My favourites would be Oz, Wayne and Barry but I'd have to agree with Dan & Tim that all of the seven contribute to the show and it wouldn't have been the same if any of them were missing.

Although not one of the main cast Ally Frasier was a superb character is series two

Wayne and bomber are my favourite characters. The first 2 series were the best.

Loved OZ in the first two series but couldn,t really get to grips with the "new reformed" OZ. it almost felt like a new character had been created, his cousin or something. I know he was meant to be a changed man but he lost a lot for me. Just my opinion.

I know what you mean.Oz changed too much from the first 2 series.
So much so, that I couldn't stand him. He seemed to be in the centre of everything. That was disappointing for me as he had been my favourite.

I just noticed something after all these years; right before Oz delivers that famous line, "They're unclean in their habits Dennis !", he wipes his nose with his fingers and wipes it across his jacket ! What a classic bit of writting !!!
