I can't believe the news about Rik Mayall. I'm absolutely distraught.

I will always remember Rik as Colin in Bad News, the best Comic Strip ever!
Unless you count More Bad News of course!

Rik Mayall is/was exactly the same age as my dad

I was a bit too young for The Young Ones, it took a while for me to find it funny whereas Bottom was instantly funny to me.

However I really enjoyed him in The New Statesman so much so I went to see him TWICE in the theatre and I am not a theatre kind of bloke!

RIP to a really funny man, I do hope you're up there having a pint with Mel Smith.

Yeah, poor guy. Sad news. I spent a good hour last night watching some of his classics on Bottom. He had superb timing and a great face and voice for comedy.

Could not believe it when i heard, the best comedy actor of my generation.

If anybody in comedy needs to learn about ad-libbing then you have to watch Kevin Turvey.

Also every Comic Strip and Alan B´Stard (haltemprice´s finest MP) at his finest

Rest in peace Rik

Not his biggest role, but my favourite has to be as Flasheart in Blackadder. Priceless.
