Vicki's Surname?

Why doesn't Vicki have a surname?
Every other character I can think of had one, but not Vicki! Is it mentioned in the novel? I'm very intrigued by this, cause Harry had one, Hazel even bloody Pauline had one!

Ooh great question!

I think its because its not necessary. We know she isn't a Fraser, Ally is still married to someone else, and I doubt he'd ever remarry because of the financial implications of any future divorce.

Also whilst Vicki is more prominent towards the end, she's not that significant early on.

However if thats a reason not to give someone a surname then why is Dennis' bit of skirt, Christine, given a surname?! We don't even find out Norma's surname and she's family!
