Can you elaborate here? I didn't know this.Auf Wiedersehen, Pet wrote:Remember Oz and Dennis met on a building site in Cramlington...(it was Bedlington actually...)

Series 4. I'm thinking A Gift From Fidel? Could be Our Men in Havana though.
Dennis calls Oz outside and that's when they have the Cramlington/Bedlington exchange

It ends with Dennis and a classic scene for me.
Oz - "Am ganning back to work...."
Dennis - *pauses....* "Aww bollocks!......"

Ah! Yes . Remember now. I was lost for a minute.
Re: Prequel...
Loved the 'Gift From Fidel' episode the most from series 4. But haven't watched it for two years or abouts.

Re: Prequel...
Love series 4 me.
Anyway back to the prequel.
What about Ally Fraser back in the day when he was a young lad?

Can't think of any references regarding Ali's history.
Re: Prequel...
Getting kicked out of Berwick would be good. And his relationship with his staunch catholic bride perhaps?

Re: Prequel...
I'd be interested in seeing what 'Hacksaw' Sid Henderson was like, who Barry worked with just before he arrived in the hut.
Shut ya yak will ya man, you snivelling little git.

Re: Prequel...
Richard, I wouldn't be down with a prequel. I had a hard enough time accepting the new Rod as he looks completely different from young Rod. And given the cast weren't that old to begin with, it would be a stretch imagining new actors playing them supposedly less than ten years younger. Probably for the best would be a series of novels, so we can imagine the original cast as their younger selves without the distraction of a new cast.RHill wrote:I think there is nothing wrong in seeing it done then decided if we hate it or not. As we all know the history of the characters, I wouldn't be surprised if we would easily relate to and enjoy the prequel. The main worry would be - would we accept the new younger actors?
